Scars & Souvenirs was so captivating. I didn’t want to stop reading! Finley so eloquently tells the story of Max Bauer and the traumatic experiences she’s been through. She clearly conveys the emotions of the main character and makes you feel them too as you’re reading. Rarely does a book make me cry, but I’ll admit that I had tears in my eyes as I read the ending. My only hope is that there will be a sequel! Definitely give this book a shot, you won’t be disappointed.
Very good! Depth of a persons emotional tribulations resulting from abuse and learning to be a survivor. Scars and Souvenirs is captivating, suspenseful, emotional. I started reading and literally couldn’t put it down. Definitely glad I got this one!
Long Time Gone gives us a ride through a love in the deep throes of adolescence and a love that winds its way through years, heartbreak, and growing up. This sweet story is everything one could ask for in a small-town romance!
[Dreams Reborn] is the second book in this series and is Clay and Max’s journey. Max is the light to Clay’s darkness and proves to be the best thing that has come into his life. In a blink of an eye everything changes, and choices needs to be made. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, which is intense, and with choices, and love, which leads to an entertaining and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.
I loved Asa and Harley's character development. Asa is the book boyfriend we all want. He is kind, caring, loyal, and outrageously handsome. His treatment of Harley when she was his employee revealed so much about his true character and the value he placed on her. Harley's self-doubt and fearing she wasn't worthy of Asa's love were also very relatable. I think many people struggle with feeling worthy of their partner's affection, and Harley is no different. I loved all of the banter between Asa and Harley - my husband and I like joking around and witty sarcasm like the main characters, so their conversations and interactions were relatable and fun. [Love Notes] was fast-paced and a very cute romance story, and I can't wait till this book is out in the world! Definitely plan to read this book! You won't want to miss it!
Love Notes is a sweet, satisfying read! Harley Graham is a relatable FMC as a 24 year old trying to find her way in early adulthood, and the sense of drifting during that stage is something I think a lot of us can sympathize with. I found myself cheering her on, watching her burgeoning romance with her new punk rock star boss with bated breath, and wishing I had a big brother just like hers. Finley K. James, as always, writes three-dimensional characters you can't help but hope will get everything they want in life, and it's that quality that sets her apart. Overall, Love Notes is a book I would highly recommend for a light, touching read for lovers of contemporary romance.
